We are currently meeting via Zoom video conference.
Link: https://zoom.us/j/603302859 (we will use this same link for every virtual Thursday class)
Time: 7:00pm – 8:30pm ET every Thursday, until further notice
If you haven’t already, we recommend clicking the link and downloading Zoom before the meeting. Please try and join a few minutes early and keep yourself on mute for the meditation and Dharma talk.
Meetings typically begin with 20 to 30 minutes of guided meditation, followed by a dharma talk and discussion with our guiding teacher, Chris Crotty, or another dharma teacher or facilitator (a facilitator is not a dharma teacher but has training in leading guided meditations and discussions of topics in Buddhism, and receives mentoring from Chris Crotty or another authorized Buddhist teacher).
As usual, these classes will be offered freely, with the request that those who can donate do so, to enable BMC to keep our organizational trains running during this period. You may donate via our website here or on Venmo @boston-meditation-center.
The Beautiful Mind Thursday Teachings
BMC’s guiding teacher, Chris Crotty, will give a series of Dharma reflections on equanimity (Pali: upekkhā) beginning Thursday, March 18. These talks, offered virtually March through May, will explore different ways of understanding equanimity–its characteristics, modes of practice, relationship to other Dharma teachings, and its benefits.
Dates: March 18; April 8 & 22; May 6 & 27
Thursday classes are drop-in and no registration is required. While students interested in a comprehensive exploration of equanimity will benefit from attending the full series, any class can be attended as a ‘stand-alone’ class. Below find links to the prior teachings in this series.
